About the Position

We're looking for an experienced Vendor Relationship Manager to join our Data Vendor Management team. This team forms and manages our relationships with various financial market data vendors and exchanges.

You will be responsible for negotiating new contracts, managing contract renewals, and maintaining the cost structure of each in our inventory management platform.

Managing these processes correctly requires collaborating with several teams across Jane Street to ensure that new contracts are fully understood and vetted, invoices are processed on time, and colleague requests for new data vendors and services are heard and considered. This includes working with Legal, HR, Engineering, and Finance, along with other business areas.

You will also help with usage reporting and audits to ensure that our team continues to best meet the needs of the firm.

About You

• Strong experience with vendor negotiation and relationship management, including Bloomberg products and negotiating contracts with Bloomberg
• Motivated self-starter who can handle competing, time-sensitive priorities
• Working knowledge of FITS, MDSL, or INFOmatch inventory system preferred
• Strategic thinker who can apply critical analysis to make decisions and solve problems
• Excellent writing and people skills; shares information and explains ideas clearly
• Fluency in English required
