Business Data Analyst (Contract)

Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in Northampton Country: UK Rate: £360/day

4-5 years experience
Contract till End of the year and will be extended
Northampton (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)
Business Unit - FS
IR35 Status - Mandated PAYE

We are heading up a recruitment drive on behalf of a leading IT consultancy that require a Business Data Analyst to join their team on a major banking project that is based 2 days per week in Northampton.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
Understanding of a wider portfolio of work
Heavy Data analyst skills (excel) across multiple transaction cycles
Proven communication skills
Understanding of the Navigator system (a lot of data will be pulled from Nav)
Previous knowledge of Barclays change management and systems Dashboard creation Excel manipulation of data and analysis.
collaboration across multiple PODS to combine lower-level reporting, finances, governance roadmap and delivery blockers. handling resource across multiple areas and influencing ways of working to enable the delivery of the EP through the PODS.
As a Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
Responsibility of generating insights that shape and inform key business decisions and inspire stakeholders with algorithmic solutions for complex business problems
Manage and assimilating a variety of data sources into a cohesive and accurate portrayal of operational performance
Responsibility of looking after a business problem and then planning and executing the appropriate analysis in order to solve it
Sourcing and manipulating the appropriate data and then analysing the outputs
Demonstrating commercial insight to explore business growth opportunity, presenting your strategies to key stakeholders
Contributing to Strategic Business initiatives and projects across operations by providing performance analysis to support strategies

As a Data Analyst, your skills and qualifications will include:
Expertise/strong proficiency in SQL and Python - this role requires you to have proven experience of data analytics using both these programming languages
Expertise of using classical statistical methods (such as logistic regression, decision trees) in a commercial environment
Proven experience of delivering data products with relevant BI/data analytics tool set with an expertise in using SQL
Solid hands on experience with some of the following data manipulation tools: Hadoop, Python, R, Impala
The ability to influence Senior Executive stakeholders
Being a self-motivated team player who is able to define, structure and prioritise work for yourself as well as others
A commercial, financial and business acumen
Someone whop is happy to create Data Dictionaries, build Data Control Requirements and Data Flows etc. Someone who is analytical in nature, and inquisitive with attention to detail, and can run workshops with very well informed SHsAs a Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
