3rd Line Engineer (Client Services) (Permanent)
Location: Leeds Country: UK Rate: £37099 - £44263.00 per annum
Harvey Nash have exclusively partnered with University of Leeds to recruit Senior Client Services Engineers to join a newly-established team. This is a business-critical role which will be a key component of the new IT Operational Model.
The university has set out an ambitious plan to enhance student education, research, and corporate systems through increased use of technology, data, and digital approaches as part of the new strategy after a significant investment.
As a Senior Client Services Engineer you will work closely with researchers across the university on the technical requirements and challenges for new leading research. This will require you to work with researchers and technical teams across the university to deliver technical support to enable world-leading research.
With several large-scale pieces of research underway, this is an incredibly exciting role and unique opportunity for someone to drive significant change and in doing so ensure that the university continues to be cutting-edge technically and in its research.
Experience of interest:
- Working in a technical IT role at the 2nd/3rd-line level in a Windows, Linux or Mac environment.
- Taking ownership of certain technical assets such as software, infrastructure, networks and maintaining, standardising, and further developing these assets in line with the rest of the business
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage key stakeholders as part of project delivery, delivering excellent service, assessing impact of technical decisions, and providing frequent updates on developments
- Experience working with architecture teams would be beneficial, understanding, creating, and developing High-Level Designs and Low-Level designs
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation and driving continual service improvements
- Working closely with less experienced/junior staff to mentor and develop pathways for future talent
