Senior IT Hardware Engineer (Permanent)

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset Country: UK Rate: £35k - £40k per annum + Car Allowance £4.5k
 

Senior IT Hardware Engineer, £35-40k + £4.5k Car allowance + benefits, Bournemouth

Are you a senior IT technician and looking to take ownership and lead the successful management, support and roll-out of IT Hardware & assets a multi-site company? Working primarily out of the Bournemouth office, with a car allowance on top of your salary to account for some light regional travel, there is an opportunity for to take a lead for all things hardware and IT builds.

In this role, you'll support IT delivery by configuring and deploying assets, managing stock, and aiding procurement of IT equipment. You'll oversee IT asset life cycles, maintain records, and drive tech advancements. You will manage one other Hardware technician and work as a team within the overall IT & technology team.

You'll need a few years of IT hardware support & build experience and able to lead or manage another, along with some budgetary/department management and ideas to improve things. Responsibilities include supporting and building various devices, some networking (Cisco Switches) and IT asset management. While ITIL v3/4 Foundation and MCP certs are desirable, emphasis lies on your hardware support, build and ability to manage and lead a key service for the business.
